K.S. Shankararaagavan is an Additional Director and Head of the CoE- Tirupur for Apparel Made-Ups and Home Furnishing Sector Skill Council (AMHSSC). He possesses a sound academic background ranging from a Diploma in Textile Processing and M. Tech Textile Technology to MBA Human Resources.
He has a commendable Thirteen years of working experience totally in the field of textile technology. He mastered the managerial skills with his job as an Assistant Factory Manager at KM Knitwear, Tirupur which obviously adds on to his leadership qualities. Later, he pursued his teaching career at ATDC for four years following which he involved himself actively in research in the field of textile technology. Also, he has published numerous research papers and given seminars in various colleges and universities.
Apart from that, he worked as a project engineer in IIGM Pvt Ltd for a short time. She has worked with SHAHI Exports Pvt. Ltd for 10 years in HR and Skill Development Department. She had also been Master Trainer- Soft Skill for Women Empowerment in the Industry for 6years.
She has a diverse and strong experience in operation of different type of machines used in garment industry for various job roles. Her domain in AMHSSC is identifying the Skill Gaps,Conceptualizing, designing courses and curriculum, setting the standards, managing, putting in place assessment and certification mechanism of vocational and other training certification programs to create robust and vibrant eco-system for quality education & skill development in Apparel and Home Furnishing space in the industry.

Prior to this sheworked as consultant with DakshinChitra(a Heritage Museum which has more than 1000 collections in antique south India Textiles) where she was involved in Research and Conservation of hand woven antique Textiles of South India.
She started her career with Coats India ( MNC dealing with sewing accessories like threads, zips and interlining - head quartered in the UK) as Technical services Advisor where sheIndependently handled the Merchant, Purchase and quality team of Garment Manufacturer/ Buyer/ Retailers in Chennai region, and also gave technical training for sales team , conducted shop floor studies to increase productivity.
